Ozgur Tohumcu joins OXBOTICA - autonomous vehicle software company and University of Oxford spinout - from TANTALUM.
“Oxbotica, the leader in autonomous vehicle software, today announces the appointment of Ozgur Tohumcu as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He succeeds Dr Graeme Smith, who moves internally to the position of SVP of External Affairs.

Mr Tohumcu was previously CEO of TANTALUM, the connected car services and payments provider. During his leadership between 2017 and 2018, he drove the deployment of Tantalum’s connected car software as a service (SaaS) platform, launching services across the US with tier one automotive and telco customers.

The appointment marks the next stage of Oxbotica’s rapid international growth. It follows a number of other key announcements, including the completion of a £14 million funding round in September 2018 and a strategic partnership with ADDISON LEE to collaborate on the deployment of autonomous vehicle services. The business is also moving into new headquarters at the end of May to accommodate a workforce that has more than doubled in the last year—and will double again in the coming months.”
