"Lonsdale Capital Partners was founded in 2008 by Alan Dargan, Ross Finegan and David Gasparro. In 2016 we raised our first institutional fund of £110 million. Prior to this we made 7 principal investments on a deal by deal basis, investing alongside institutions and experienced business professionals.

We are looking to invest in cash generative companies within a strong niche. These are typically platforms for growth, both organically and via acquisition, and will have strong, ambitious management teams. We make investments in the UK and across Europe at the lower end of the mid-market (companies with £2 to £7 million EBITDA).

We are naturally conservative in the way we finance our transactions, and only want to employ moderate amounts of leverage.

The idea behind the firm was to take the skills learnt over many years working in larger organisations and to apply them to the smaller end of the private equity market.

The core aim is to have professionalism, experience and integrity at the heart of what we do. In total the team has worked on over 40 private equity deals since 1996.
